Is it worth paying the $20? Does it let you zoom in any closer?

Uh, you can already zoom in way farther than you'd ever need to in the free version. I can fill my entire screen with two cars (which get very blurry that close up).

The pay versions have the exact same satellite images, but I think they're worth it for the GPS features. You can do things like map mountain bike trails.

notfred - I think it's pretty obvious by zoom, he means how close he can get without entering DIGITAL zoom.

Yup, I *thought* it gave you greater detail, so that you could actually see the type of car you were looking at or something.

Try NASA's WorldWind, the high resolution Urban images are sweet. You can pick out vehicles, and blobs of people...

they do have a newer version out, which seems to run much better than the first....
