Google Compute: im a beta tester!

if you guys havent heard of this: http://toolbar.google.com/dc/faq_dc.html

it lets you run folding@home from the google toolbar! brilliant idea!

However, "At this time, the Google Compute feature is only available to a small number of randomly selected Google Toolbar users."

But guess what ive been selected! judging from this page there appears to be only a few hundred people in Team Google

Anyone else been selected?

I wouldn't do it because then you are a number crunching for Team Google instead of yourself crunching for TeAm F@H (who by the way could use more help as they are climbing towards the top of the F@H world). Stay true to your TeAm say no to Google

How much control do you have over that toolbar? Can you change your username or team? Perhaps from an ini file?

hehe they will probably implement the ability to specify names/teams when its released.. until then i dont mind crunching for google!

i will send them feedback though, thats what betatesters are for!

i found a way to change the username and the team. just edit the client.cfg file

itll probably take them 5 minutes to implement this feature in the toolbar!

Side question: Anyone know where I can d/l the .exe for the regular google toolbar? Because of domain wide policy set by our Exchange/Internet team at work, I can't d/l it from there.
