Google Chrome randomly opening new windows

So, this is frustrating to say the least. I was just now playing a game when all of a sudden I was taken out of the game - I figured "got an IM", but then I see Chrome's opened 2 new windows. Frustrated, I closed them and then continued. It happened again and again so I closed the program (it's happening right now still) and even then Chrome manages to reappear.

Any ideas? Feels like a virus to me.

I've had this problem in the past but with IE, not Chrome. Turned out to be a spyware problem for me as far as I can remember. You might want to run a scan with your AV programme or something like Malwarebytes or Superantispyware.

do these happen in the other browsers with the same game? if not its probably spyware or a virus, chrome is news in terms of browsers at the moment, and kids will probably be wanting to find a way to exploit it.
