Google checkout question (merchant account)

I am not advertising my business, I am just curious about using google checkout as a payment method for a side business that I have.

On average, I am dealing with 5-8k of revenue per month and the 3-5% average fee I have to pay to credit card processing/paypal really eat into my bottom line.

I noticed that GCO offers free processing until the end of the year, that and some merchants were able to offer $10 off at the expense of google (I think).

From a merchant's point of view, how reliable is GCO and are there anything that I should be aware of that Google doesn't want me to know? (like what will the processing fee be after the promo.)

Thanks.

Don't use it. But did you also try Costco and Sam's Club? I know they do B&M processing for a good price. We never used them as we only have sales about 2 months in the year, so web Paypal ad hoc is cheaper on a yearly basis for us.

Well its an online business and I haven't looked into Costco and sams club (didn't even knew they do payment services)
But since my volume isn't that large at 5-8k, I am really interested in google's no fee checkout promo, just wanted to hear what others have to say about this.

Thank you for your suggestion.
