Or at least it's not showing on the first 10 pages of results.

I recently created a message board: www.lmulions.yuku.com for my alma mater. Since it's a new board I want to get the name out as much as possible. However, Google is not showing the result despite different search words I tried. Um, do I need to pay Google for the result to show up?
www.lmulions.yuku.com
Btw, is there any yuku users knows how to allow everyone to post on my msg board without registration? Doesn't seem like Yuku lets people do that.

No you don't ever have to pay Google. It takes time, sometimes a few days before bots start hitting it. If you don't run the server, they might have a robots.txt file that tells searchbots they can't index the sites on the server. We need a little more info to give you any good information.

link the url in your original post and google should pick up on it

don't bother with the "submit your site" feature on google.com, the best way to get indexed is from a crawl from following a link on another site

DUDE! Are you trying to blind people with those colors? You need a new color scheme ASAP. It doesn't matter if it is your school colors, it literally hurts my eyes.

But if you DO pay them it gets there a hell of a lot faster!

Holy crap is that saturated. Turn down the colors. In addition, blue on red (or red on blue) is a very bad color combination due to chromatic aberration. If you want your school colors, leave your school crest or mascot at the top but keep a traditional color layout for the forum.

Well, I would like to do that as well but Yuku doesn't allow me to tone down the color. I have a choice of a color plate and have to choose a spot somewhere in there. It's not the perfect match to my school theme, but blue and red are close enough to crimson and navy.

Now how do I copy the color off university website?

No one is going to use a message board that is impossible to look at. You must change the colors.

Put it in your sig (linked of course) and I agree -- the colors are bad. You can get your school colors by using one of the utilities that can read the color #s when you mouse over the color. You want a color picker so google for "color picker" -- I see some free programs. This one looks okay:

Replace all of the red with white, I really don't think people using the forum will say to themselves "gee these aren't the school colors, I refuse to use the site." Instead it'll be more along the lines of "gahhhhhhh my eyes"

Blood shot out of my face and I have uncontrollable anal leakage.

Please, please. Think of the children. Change the colors.
