Went to deja.com today, only to find that it's been taken over by google. They hope to get the terabyte-sized archive back on line (deja had much of their archive offline for months) and eventually get searches up to google-like speed.

Email addresses at my-deja.com are still supposed to be working.

I used deja nearly every day, it's one of the best places to search for information, and I sure hope they continue to archive Usenet posts.

I noticed that too. I for one am glad. Google is awesome, and Deja had been going downhill ever since they started trying to do product reviews.

Yeah, what's up with the product reviews. I never got that but yes, I can safely say that I am glad that Google took them over. IMO, they have the best search programming out of all search engines.

The biggest change I noticed was now you could view an entire thread on one page.

I always thought Deja was a pain in the a$$ having to click each post to read it.
