Ha. Just used it to get in touch with After Hours formal wear to see how late they were open.

Need to go get fitted for a tux.

Although this is really no different than 1-800-FREE-411. You just don't have to listen to 15 second commercials. :thumbsup:

I believe FREE411 is blocked by a lot of cell phone service providers (I could be wrong though). I tried it with Cingular before and it rerouts to Cingular 411 which costs you $1.50.

I think they all backed down on that since, if I recall correctly, it was shown to be an FCC violation to stop people from calling a number like that. I know Alltel blocked it for a week or two, but then opened it back up (they called it a glitch, yeah right)

GOOG411 seems pretty slick though, especially with how quickly it connects you to the #.

You could also text your query to 46645 (GOOGL) and get immediate responses via text message.

Example:

Send "Pep Boys, 08854" to 46645

It doesnt cost any extra than a regular text message...
