Just set up this board w/ a 1.8A for a client.
the thing would not boot about 1 out of every 5 times. on those occasions it would beep and then an overheat/no fan rpm... type alarm would sound. i tried everything - swapped power supplies, stripped it down to just chip/ram and pci vid card, different ram, no ide devices blah blah blah...
in the end, by setting the fsb 1 mhz over or under the problem was solved. drove me F..KING NUTS!
