Goof Off and Motherboards

Will the sticky removal stuff "Goof Off" harm a motherboard? If not, what can I use?

I am wanting to remove a few labels off a motherboard. I don't care to keep the label in good shape, but just want it off the mobo, and all the glue too.

Thanks.

I don't know about "goof off", but removing labels will void your warranty, if you ever care to use it. You might also damage the board with static discharge. I've learned the hard way to leave the board alone, if you plan on keeping it awhile.

Thanks. I am doing a mod experiment. I don't want to destroy the board, but don't care if warranty is voided or not. It's also a refurbished mobo anyways. I may need to just soak the labels in 99.95% alcohol and remove them afterwards.

I've used goof off to clean cpu's without any ill affects, though it will eat some plastics. Thats why you always test it first.

Thanks for all the replies. Just soaked with 99.953% isopropyl alcohol and wiped off after a few minutes. Had to use a razor blade to get off some stuff, but worked fairly well.
