It looks like BFG is finally getting around to makeing a tire in the 285/60R16 range again. And it's the good ol' Radial T/A.

Does anyone know how this compares to the Goodyear GT II tire?

Edit: if anyone knows of any other tires in the 275/60R16-295/65R16 range, let me know. (I still wish BFG didn't stop making the Sporttruck T/A)

i can't say about the goodyears, but radial T/A's suck for anything besides looks. They don't grip worth a damn, and have a very low speed rating(S i think). My friend has them on both his 70 and 78 trans ams simply because they were cheap, and it was one of the few tires that came in his size(255/60r15)

btw, check out some sport truck tires(pirelli scorpions, and i think kumho and yokohama make some too), they seem to come in tall sidewalls like what you're looking for.

Pirelli has Scorpion Zeros, but I seem to remember having a problem actually getting them last year.

If you can find them, get the Bridgestone Dueler AT Revos. I have heard nothing but good things about these tires and have them on order for my truck. The are on backorder right now, but if you can get your hands on them, I would buy those.
