So the whole effort has been a waste of time. Actually worse than a waste of time as the current bill is worse than doing nothing. Congratulations to the insurance lobbyists. Their greed has trumped common sense and the common good yet again.

Tort reform is bullshit. Let the courts sort out actual liability and damages in malpractice cases based on the facts of the case. Limiting damages limits justice by using arbitrary limits thought up by health industry lobby.

Obama = Leadership missing in action.
No tort limits without executive compensation limits.

You stupid moron, you started it off with the whole "Americans are pussies" comment. Shut the fuck up already.

Yeah....

Well you are pussies, in which other nation do people consider whether you need one chambered so you can protect yourself against intruders?

In what other nation do people go to the ER instead of making an appointment if they have less than 40C fevers for less than one day?

You were even so scared over terrorist attacks that you supported, as a nation, the invasion of Iraq, something no other nation ever did and at least our PM had the decency to resign before he was thrown out of the nation. You still support that, right Quorn?

It's actually worse than doing nothing it's an insurance company bonanza and consumer ripoff. With non- fee discrimination and forced to take everyone that can pay, insurance companies will raise rates on everyone else across the board. Healthy people will be penalized instead of rewarded for their good heath and habits. States who have done this premiums rise over 250%. Of course the pallmall smoker with cancer and diabetes and a broken hip pays 1000% less.

Jesus Christ you are a moron. No American debates having one chambered. We carry cocked and locked and of course there is a round in the chamber.. only a dumb fucking brit would think it would be a good idea to not have one in the chamber.

Just stop now before you make yourself look even more silly.

Pretty much every developed nation is full of pussies. The last time a developed nation had balls, it took 100+ nations to bomb the shit of them (aka Nazi Germany). Every developed nation over-legislates and fears the shit out of bogeymen in the dark. UK is a pussy nation. America is a pussy nation. France is a pussy nation.

On topic, I hope healthcare in America just completely fails. To the point where people who have great insurance cannot afford basic healthcare. It's already close to that point, about 2/3rds of all medical bankruptcy filers had health insurance. Let the insurance companies, the doctors' lobbies, Big Pharma and all other special interest groups get their way, fuck Americans hard and then we'll see true reform. When people cannot afford to get sick by the millions, Congress will finally have to act drastically and reform our medical system fully and totally. Until then, fuck it, half-baked and half-assed measures won't do anything but create a bigger bubble.

Aye...when this self-inflicted bubble pops....it's going to be huge.

I'll be in the quick prep to transfer my licensure to Canada or the UK when that day comes.

Wow, you have a great deal of paranoia in you.

Besides, who do you think was making the backroom deals with the Democrats prior to this? Big Pharma and other special interest groups. They were getting their way in the Dems plans.

And other than that, you obviously have no faith in mankind to take care of ourselves. If you cannot have faith in ourselves to provide medical care, how do you possibly have faith in ourselves to elect government to provide medical care? There is a huge logical problem in your views.

AP sources: Dems reach deal to drop public option

Good to see this administration finally coming to their senses. Still will be curious to find out what they actually will be doing, because they've gutted pretty much everything out of the bill, and continue to refuse to put in what will actually cut costs, tort reform...

I still would prefer the bill to be understandable in it's written form, but I guess I can't wish for everything

Tort reform would help, and it should be included, but it's only one small piece of the puzzle.

It's funny to hear someone from the UK call anyone else a pussy. I love that sarcastic, self-deprecating humor of theirs. It's so dry and witty.

As if. Someday you'll wake up to realization he's owned lock stock and barrel by 1%ers and I don't mean motorcycle gangs.
Every president is owned by the 1%ers. The only way for this to not occur is to get somelike chavez - and he's probably owned by venezuelan 1%ers.

Well, if you want to call me a hack, then so be it. At least I'm not a sore loser in denial of the truth.

Right, when the rest of the modern world follows a good plan, spends a fraction of the competition, gets better results and covers everyone it is just a lie...not really happening, right?

Retards like you killed real debate on these forums.

He was elected to fight the status quo of the corporate oligarchy. At least that's how he sold himself. Everyone knows this and he's totally turned his back on this promise everyday. I don't believe men like Sanders, Kucinich or Paul on the other side and many others would do that. So it's not like we don't have these candidates.

Hahahahahahaha! You don't look for debate either. We all just shout our own opinion, conservatives, "progressives", it's all the same.

He called me a hack because I support tort reform. All it is is signing a piece of paper and *guaranteed* that expenses are reduced. Seems simple enough to me. Everything about the rest of the reform, the public option, etc., the cost estimates & savings are all based on guesses. Why I would be called a hack by supporting the one guarantee out there, you tell me, since you seem to be so smart ;)

Yeah, and every pug candidate vows to overturn roe v. wade. They're just diversions for the plebs.

The others didn't get elected, did they?

The only way to to sell corporate reform to the 1%ers is to make them believe that the reform will make them even more profits.
