For most stations that is true. Some are still not ready though. Two in my area will not be 100% for another two months.
Also don't forget to re-scan for channels, many are moving to different slots.

You can get the info on what channels will be where and which are fully ready here, just put in your zip code:

Crap!! Does this mean my CRT monitor won't work after today?

Yeah, if that were to happen I would have to go on a killing...err...neffing spree.

All dimmer switches will stop working today as well. If you want artificial light, you'd better upgrade to the on/off kind of switch.

Yes, but only in the states of Texas, Virginia, New York, Oklahoma, Nevada, Idaho, and Kansas. The rest of the country will be unaffected.

Station here in NC just made the switch on the news. They had a guy in the transmitter room and he pushed a little red button and the analog tv behind him became snowy. Not very exciting .
They said they will move the channel to its proper slots after midnight.

Hopefully now my local stations will fix their digital "quirks". Lately, my ABC has been jerky (frames are getting dropped at their end), and CBS sometimes seems to swap in the wrong part of the surround sound, so you hear the music, but not the actors' voices.

And just like that, a little more freedom and privacy was taken from us.

Not that I watch TV, but it's bullshit.
