Unlike Steam, GOG has daily changes to their sale so it pays to check back regularly.

Also Grim Fandango Remastered is free for a limited time, and new games have also added on Connect: https://www.gog.com/connect

Free is the best price for games. Thanks for that.

Edit: Nevermind. I can't see anything decent on GoG that I'd want. All the older games that GoG is known for, I already own.

Thanks for the post. I've never really looked at GOG before so I didn't realize how many titles they offer. Question: If I buy Baldur's Gate from GOG, how do I acquire and keep the title? Does it go into a GOG library similar to Steam, or do I get a standalone installer and CD Key? Can I add the game to my Steam Library? Thanks!

It's like Steam and better. First, it's DRM-free - no need for any interface to run it like the Steam client. No copy protection.

Second, if you want they DO offer a nice client for your library to run your games called Galaxy. They also give you free copied on GOG if you own a game on Steam for hundreds of games.

You download it from their site and install it. Every game on GOG is DRM free. That means you need nothing but the game files to run it.

Yes. They have a library along with a program that lets you download a game you bought anytime you want, just like steam. The difference is that you don't need their program to run the game. Everything will work just like if you installed it from disk, only no disk needed. Most games won't even require a key.

Can I add the game to my Steam Library?

No. They are not selling you Steam keys. They host the game files themselves. You can link your steam account to GOG and get some of your Steam games on GOG for free, but not the other way around.

You can create shortcuts in Steam to launch GOG games, but they will not update...it is simply a shortcut.

So far, I haven't seen any decent deals. The games I'm looking for aren't hosted on GoG yet and the ones listed are still pretty pricey.

Looks like I'll be waiting for the Steam sale.

Anyone expecting the Winter Steam Sale to start in the next day or so? I've found sources online that it may start tonight ...

It just started. Usual Steam quality that the 'highlighted deals' front page has a couple games showing no discount 15 minutes into the sale.

Yeah, the store is slow as usual and probably will be for the first few hours of the sale. Just going by my wishlist, there are a lot of games not on sale that one would expect to be.

Thanks ... I see it now. I hope that the sale expands and improves as (right now) ... it is a snoozefest.

A lot more is showing up on sale now. Planet Coaster is down to $11.24.

Thanks! Sold. I tried to buy it in the previous sale for more at humble bundle and their site blocked me from buying for a week from a bug.

The Steam link is back up for 5 bucks.
I highly recommend it if you have a use case for it AND you have ethernet where you plan to use it.
Works very well and I have it set up with xbox 360 controller, and a shield controller.
We had a playroom TV that was strictly for consoles and now we are able to leverage my gaming rig in the other party of the house.
Have the shield controller too and slowly warming up to it

I can also confirm it's usable as an unopened box for stacking things on.

Picked up a couple wishlist hits, Elex for 33% off, Choice for a buck fiddy, and Valley for $4. I would have liked to have snagged DOW:WHII but 10% off? Really? Pretty lame considering the cost of DLC's.

There aren't many deals for the Warhammer TW games, too popular so Sega will milk it for all its worth. Try cdkeys.com for that one.

Man, Tomb Raider 2013 is really cheap. Back in the day I got it for $10 and I thought I was pretty thrifty.
