Good Wireless Net apps?

I use win2k and plan on installing it on my IBM Thinkpad 570 when i get it. I also have a Bronze Orinoco Wavelan Wireless NIC and I want to know of some good apps that I can use with wireless net. Are there any apps that monitor net strength and speed?
 
My Cisco WAP and client adapters came with those utilities. I haven't heard of a 3rd party utility that does this though...because it would be nice. 🙂
