im looking at setting up a partly wireless network for my moms church, mostly pcs but there is one apple machine they need on the network (they have OSX)

does anyone other than apple make wireless adapters that work well with a mac? i guess usb is the only option since its an old imac w/ g3-400mhz processor

help? ideas? theyre not certain that theyre going to do it, but need some prices and ideas to get an idea of what theyre looking at and this is the only piece i dont have any experience with

There are adapters for the iMacs to use Apple's airport cards.

Some USB adapters will work. Search sourceforge or slashdot for links to the drivers. They aren't apple drivers, but they should work.

It depends. You should check to see if your iMac has a Airport slot since some older models don't support them.

DWL-122 by D-link. I love it on WindowsXP and it works on Mac. D-link even has an install program with drivers on the CD. :) Should run you ~ $30.

will the dwl-122 work with any version of OSX or just 10.2.x like a couple places are saying?

and how much trouble is it to go from OSX to 10.2? if it has to be done itll be up to me and i havent even looked at a mac in years
