ive been playing fear since friday and its great !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! feels like halflife and a aold mod called action halflife i use to play !

im friends with some guy at bestbuy we use to go to highschool togeather best buy usally get the game early and they dont put it out till monday i was lucky enough to get it friday which isnt bad cuase i know another guy who got it thursday night at a compusa store !

so far the game is good although you can only carry 3 weapons at a time which kinda stinks hehe but makes it more realistic also there is a little ghost girl who pops up all over the place


also i think i found a easter egg i could be wrong

Adrian Shepherd was the guy you played as in the official Half-Life mod "Opposing Force"

Well, OK, your opinion has been noted. I would say there are a lot of threads about new video games in the video card forum, but I imagine you would just say "They were wrong too!".

Perhaps you should take it to the moderators, maybe they'll move my thread and save you from the terrible injustice of the video game launch thread in the video card forum?

I might get FEAR if the benchmarks with the retail version look okay, but the demo's performance was unacceptable for me. Hopefully they have speeded things up.

What I'm really looking forward to is UT2007, although that is still some time off.

SS2 will be my first new game purchase in quite awhile . . . i wanna game on something my 9800xt will still handle . . . FEAR and Q4 will come after [Bloodlines and KotOR II hit bargain bin and] i upgrade to a nice AGP card.

I only do about two parody threads a year Apoppin.

I just thought people who don't get the paper/read the ads might be as excited as I am about these two games. Doom3 was my favorite game last year, so these two are obviously much anticipated for me.

I used to play Q1/Q2/Q3 almost exclusively when they were the hot games. I hope Raven can live up to id's legacy with Q4.

i detested D3 - not the gfx which were awesome - but the game in general. Did you finish it?

For some[strange] reason i never played any of the Quake games . . . just couldn't get into them but loved other FPS games [Unreal/HL/DE/SS] . . . anyway, Q4 is on my list - AFTER i upgrade and after i play SS2/Bloodlines and KotOR2 . . . FEAR also

Anyway there are LOTS of similar threads in SW/Games [and LINKS to FEAR/SS2/Q4 reviews]. . . you ought to visit there occasionally. . . . it's my 2nd favourite forum [after this one . . . right]

They have in the past. RTCW was an extremely fun game. Can't remember which part Raven did, but I just want to fire it up again.

Can't wait for RTCW2 (yes it was officially announced!) This time around Q4 may need something to spice itself up for me, because I get tired of shooting stuff. Maybe there's some hope in CTF. I'm probably not going to do Q4 multiplayer much (unless there's something really good). Battlefield 2 is in that spot. I may make maps for them, RTCW2 being first.
