I'm creating a forum. I expect to have a hundred or so users for the first few months that log in daily. Any recs on a webhosting service for that specific situation?

I made a thread here as to the specifics needs/wants of my forum software.

WRONG FORUM. There is a thread about forum software in the software forum, check it out.

Ignore features aren't common, and aren't necessary if you limit your forum to humans.

Posting two threads about the same thing makes baby jesus cry.

Lots of web hosts support things like databases and some even simplify the installation of phpBB. Google is your friend. I use midphase but the site has gone down a few times this year for about a day at a time. Thinking about switching.

Sorry for the mistake. That thread was about forum software. This is about webhosting for forum specific situations. What forum does webhosting go under? Networking?

These are the better sites that I've found but I'm not sure what features to look for. A lot of the plans only have a gig or two. Will this be enough for a discussion board?

What else to I need to look for?
For a forum that you're just starting, you really only need about 50 megabytes of space and a couple of gigabytes of bandwidth. Both would allow you to host quite a bit. If your projections are correct however, the bandwidth needs will increase pretty fast. Likewise, since forums are pretty testy on resources you may need an actual VPS or Dedicated Server within just a few months.

If you're looking for a forum software to start out on, I highly recommend SMF (Simple Machines Forum). It's pretty robust, stable forum platform. PHPBB I'd stay away from due to security issues.
