I just signed up for Bluehost.com a month ago, and They offer 1 Gig of Space, 50 Gigs of Tranfers a Month and a Free domain name for $6.95 a month for 2 years or $7.95 a month for 1 year. I opted for the Two year cause, I found out I can cancel at anytime and get a pro-rated refund. Anyway I thought I would mention this cause one thing they offer that most hosts don't is easy installs for the following web apps:

Blogs

PHP-Nuke
phpWCMS

Has anyone ever hear of powweb?
It's $7.77/mo for 1GB of space and 5GB/day transfer
http://www.powweb.com/
I was thinking of using it for my web site for pics & downloads/mp3's & stuff.

The one to ask is Rossman. He might be able to answer that question.

Rossmam, care to chime in with your wisdom?

I was using ipowerweb before bluehost. They were pretty good, but didn't have all the features I needed, and went down about once every 3 weeks for an hour it seemed like.

I have no experience with either web host mentioned.

Research, research, research.

If it sounds too good to be true, guess what? It is :)

You can have either cheap or quality, but you can't have both.

Last but not least YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

Look up www.totalchoicehosting.com

I went with them after some research and they have been great, AIM, forum and chat support, I have calling people but thats prob available too. I got an AIM response at 1am on a Friday night. Their cheapest plan is $4 a month.

Check out http://www.hostrocket.com. Around $12 a month when 1 year paid in full, 1 Gig storage and 50Gig bandwidth. They offer roll-over bankwidth so that you can roll 1 month's leftover bandwidth to the next month. They offer good support too.

I'm using http://www.onemillionhost.com/
They currently on sale for $8.88 - 300 mb space + 16 Gb Bandwidth
I had 3 account with them. I love the control panel, they are using DirectAdmin, nice and easy to use.

The support is pretty fast. I bother them couple times. 24x7 support. The good thing is they support cgi.
