Good way to organize pictures for a site?

I have about 200 pictures all of various sizes and file sizes, I would like to do some sort of batch re-scaling to minimize the file size. Also some way to organize them in a convenient manner without me having to create a thumb for each pic.


Surely there is some program that can do this.

adobe image ready. but it wont do it in a batch. but you get great file sizes

hmm. must be some sort of program that can do it. I know there is plugins for php but I am not running php.

gaPerhaps I misunderstand what you want to do but you might want to check out gallery Upload the original and it will resize and let you sort/organize into different albums
