Good Video recording (via capture card) program

I got an ATI card and have a problem with their "Multimedia Center" program in which it disables the tv option (in that program only) and only works on component video. I use dscaler for the watching but would like something that records in to at least vcd quality but haven't been able to find one. Does anyone have a recommendation on a program ??

I think you can capture with VirtualDub.

Chances are, if MMC isn't working for you, other programs are going to have trouble to. What card, driver version, MMC Version and OS are you using? Maybe someone can help.

The card works since i am now using dscaler to watch tv but i would like to record it. Im using the TV WONDER VE on XP (was working then suddenly stopped). I was originally using 7.1 and have even tried 7.5 but it doesnt work. I have contacted ati but their "tech support" is useless. This is a common (and known) problem with it but all their "fixes" havent worked
