Good day,

My apologies, if this has already been answered, I’ve been searching the forum to get some advice on a good video card for triple monitoring gaming. I’ve found a few posts but they tend to be from the winter/spring, and I’m wondering what would be a good card to get right now for a 3 monitor setup.

Already have the monitors, and I am building a new machine, so pretty much anything is on the table (one vs two cards AMD vs Nvidia).

I’d like to keep the cost for the video card under $450.

So if anybody has any recommendations, it would be appreciated.

Thanks,

At your budget, a HD 7970 or if you can get a deal, a GTX 680 4GB. Possibly a well-overclocking HD 7950 but if it's one that was demoted to a HD 7950 due to poor clocks or defects then that is significantly worse than a HD 7970. I wouldn't risk it... I'd rather get a HD 7970 in the first place. Ditto GTX 670 4GB.

All of this assumes you are gaming at 5040x1050 or higher. If you are using low-rez monitors then you might be able to get away with less GPU horsepower.
