Good Vegas Deal for March Weekend?

Hey guys,

I'm helping one of my buddies organize a gigantic bachelor party in Vegas in March 2011. We're going on a weekend, from Thurs-Mon. We are flying from Detroit (DTW). We've been looking for deals but everything seems quite expensive. Any helpful tips for us?

We're hoping to stay on the Strip, in one of the major hotels centrally (around the area of Bellagio, cuz we're also getting a suite in Palms Casino for the Sun night on top of the regular hotel room). Aiming at $700/person for flight+hotel for 4 nights (Thurs-Mon). In total there're 15 guys going but we're all flying from different places. We all want to be in the same hotel, preferably in rooms next door to each other.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!

Expensive way. Hire a group’s agent to do the booking for you. The Cheap way. Pick a hotel and all books the same type of accommodations. Slip the front desk clerk a $20 for each person to be next to each other.

Yeah I was gonna go for the cheaper way. Where is a good place to look for good deals on flight+hotel?

March is one of the most popular months for Vegas due to gambling on the NCAA Basketball tournament. Better plan around the basketball schedule if you want cheaper rates.

Here are the important dates for the 2011 tournament:

First Round: March 17-18, 2011

Second Round: March 19-20, 2011

Third Round: March 24-25, 2011

Fourth Round: March 26-27, 2011
