Wondering if there's anything out there available that's as good as SabNZBd but also lets you read and sort posts from your favorite newsgroups.

Looking for best recommendations for mac and also PC. Thanks!

http://www.altbinz.net/ might offer what you are looking for. I think it can still read the headers in the groups as well as the nzbs. It has been a long time since I used it though.

Grabit (http://www.shemes.com/) can also read the headers and identify the nzbs but it's a little more complicated to use. Also I think you need to pay for it past a certain amount of dl's if you use the "special" search function.

Sabnzbd is good for one thing IMO. Grabbing nzbs from an indexer or search engine. There are very few fully functional newsreaders left that can actually view the posts and sort through the headers on Usenet.

Newsbin Pro is the undisputed king of newsreaders, but it is not free.

thanks for suggestions, for some reason i wasn't notified of replies, must be a subscription issue with my forum access. I'll get it looked at.

In the meantime, I've tried out Unison on Mac OSX, seems good, a bit weird, but good. LOL.

There was a link in wikipedia that had a nice comprehensive list. Let me see if i can pull that up again..

Ahh, got it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_Usenet_newsreaders
