Good USB Sound card?

What would be a decent type of USB sound card to buy? It doesnt have to be anything fancy, just something that plays back sound and records sound okay. And where could I find it? (newegg?)

Never heard of a USB sound card. A sound module such as the Createve Audigy 2NX, yes. But not a card. Of later vintage is the Sound Blaster Exigy module, and the X-Fi module. None of these are cards.

Silverstone has one (DAC). They are called interfaces if you are going Hi-Fi. Be prepared to spend some dough if you want to do recording with it as well. Mine was $200 - the Presonus Firebox. It is amazing! It powers up my AKG k701's with extreme ease. I can also record with it. I put it in my laptop bag and I can record with crazy high quality with whatever I can fit into my small laptop bag!

I'd reccomend you get the silverstone if you want good looks as well.

I know I'm being picky - but none of these are CARDS. Cards are short for printed circuit cards or boards, and they connect by edge connectors. I have not yet seen any CARD that plugs into a USB port.
