Good USB controller for console-type games?

I've gotten into EMUs recently (games I used to own and play; Tetris, Mario, stuff like that), and was thinking about getting a controller for my laptop to make the games easier to play. Any recommendations for a decent, cheap controller? I'm really not sure what to get, but all I really know is it needs to be USB. I have an old Gravis GamePro that was good for the PC downstairs, but it connects through the GamePort. :p

If you can find one, the Interact Hammerhead FX. IMO it's better than the Logitech mentioned (I own both, and DON"T like the buttons on the RumblePad), but it lacks the throttle control (which shouldn't be an issue with EMU's anyway).

Warning some mild driver-hacking is needed to make HHFX's play nice under WinXP.

Other than that, they rule. /me has two, one retail and one prototype X-Box model :D

How about a Gravis GamePad Pro USB? It's the same as your Gamepad Pro but with the USB connector. :p Or another route you can go is to buy a Playstation/XBOX/GC controller and the appropriate USB adapter. They're built a little sturdier than most any native PC gaming controller I've used.

That Gravis is a waste of money. For a little more you can have an dual analog sticks.

Ooh, where'd you get that? Heck, I'm looking to pick up just another PC one and having a hard time.

I didn't know you could just buy an adapter for Playstation controllers. I've got a PS controller (PS, not PS2). I'll look for an adapter for that. :)

Sony should just break down and release a USB version of their DualShock 2. Its not like they don't make computers...

Make your own damn DualShock2 controllers then. It's not that hard. Just Google some plans.

There was a deal on converters that allowed you to use playstation (1/2 ?) controllers on the PC via USB for $5.
