Good UPS for 350 Watt PS/computer??

I just realized that where I've recently moved to svcks for continual power and about once a week we lose power for about 1-2 minutes since they are constantly adding in more power to newly developed residential areas. I just want two of these for two computers with 350 Watt power supplies each. I want these two systems to automatically boot down after 2 minutes of power loss (both run win2k). It's probably too much to ask to add on a 21" CRT monitor without getting a 3rd back up right?

Anyways, what are some good UPS for these tasks? Will 500VA be enough or do I have to go more?

I have a 320VA UPS that claims to run a Desktop PC with 17" monitor for five min. Realisticially, it won't even power up my seven year old 17" monitor by itself without overload protector kicking in. When it shuts off, mine beeps a steady beep then power cuts off and I have to turn off the main power and turn it back on.

The power supply size doesn't have much to do with it. Rather the configuration you have on your PC. I have a 340W PSU, 350VA/185W UPS and it keeps just the computer on for five or six minutes. Its good enough for most time since outage doesn't usually last over one minute here. It also comes with a software that automatically shuts off the computer after set minute of outage(UPS connects to the computer with serial cable).

So John, are you suggesting 700VA of power for just one machine or for both one machine and a monitor or for all three (two 350Watt machines and the monitor)?
