why not ati? A 9800pro is easily faster than even a heavily oced 6600.
http://graphics.tomshardware.com/graphic/20050705/index.html
and you can have it for cheaped in FS/T forums.
256mb helps the 128 bit bus 6600 0%.
your only options are to drop $100 for a 9800 pro or $150 for a 6600gt.

also, the barton runs 333mhz so a pc2700 stick of ram is good enough. you will have no performance increase with pc3200 ram. AMD XP hate Async speeds so yuor pc3200 ram will downclock to pc2700 speeds anyway. just get whatever is cheaper.

and yuor psu can be found on fs/t for cheaper($30-35) search for it.

ATI and Linux don't go very well this is why I don't want it. I *might be overclocking so I would just like to keep the same Ram.

I don't understand what you mean? When I had my Shuttle system, the Ram was clocked @ 400 while the Processor was @ 333mhz. I still want it just because I may be o/cing.

I don't really want to buy in the FS/FT I prefer if these items don't work that there will be a RMA instead of dealing with the person (who will probably stop responding to my e-mails if there is a problem)

well then a 6600 is not a good buy. even with a 6600gt, you will still crawl in fear. Fear crawls in a x800xl down to 10x7. 6600gt will not do well in fear and 6600 will barely run it well at 800x600

AMD XP dont like to run 400mhz ram when your fsb is at 333mhz. kills performance. if your fsb is at 400 and your ram is at 400 good, but 333 and 400 dont go together well.

I don't think your system could handle some of these new games even if upgraded, however I would recommend finding out the system requirements & then determine if it is CPU, RAM or Gfx limited.

Once you find out what is the limiting factor for the game then you can spend all your upgrade money (assuming your other components are enough) to upgrade the limiting part.
