I've been looking for a new notebook recently, and so far the only decent one I've found matching the above requirements is the Acer Ferrari 4000. Is there anything better? (Will be used for moderate gaming, HL2, ROL (When it comes out), and a few others. Also, must be somewhat portable. (No 17" behemoths)

Nothing better, no. The MSI MS-1029 is a 15.4" WXGA Turion with 128MB X700, but has some problems with it. Good price, but not worth the potential hassle IMO

Acer will be dropping prices on some of their notebooks soon, including the F4000 about $200.

If you have the time and money, wait for the Ferrari refresh later this year. It should have dual core Turion and X1600 graphics, maybe even X1800XT! Assuming the damn X1800XT ever launches
