Good time to get back into UO

I resubbed my UO account several days ago (LS shard) and was surprised to find my houses were still up - I guess I stopped paying earlier this year when they switched the accounting system but they suspended the house decay.

But last week they reinstated the house decay and today/tonight there's going to be a crap load of houses that are IDOC at the same time... it's going to be crazy.

I have always been intrigued by this game but never played it for any period of time (I played at launch and again after the first graphics revision, both extremely briefly).

Are there actual quests given by NPCs in this game?

Yes they do have a bunch of NPC quests, some of them are very rewarding from what I gather. But I dont really play around with them.

I resubbed my account last week when I got an email that the house decay was going back into effect. I have a house in Luna which is a prime real estate location for the game due to sales you can generate there to toher players so I didnt want to lose this house.

My intention was to just resub my account to sell the house but now Im having such a blast playing the game again lol.

And to think I pre-ordered SWTOR, was psyched about playing that and then I play it for one night and havent played it again since - no urge to play that game. But UO hooks still hooks me in!

Anyway this IDOC event was pretty crazy, so many player owned houses collapsed at around the same time. All possessions inside drop to the ground for anyone to pick up. I had a few places marked and bought pack animals and just loaded shit up load after load hauling stuff to my house. I have piles of crap I looted havent had time to look through it yet. Feels like the show Storage WaRS.
