Good Temp for athlon 1.4

I have a AMD Athlon running at 1.4 gig and is not overclocked. The BIOS shows that it is running at 136F. Is this a good temp for an Athlon of this speed? I have a Volcano 5 Heatsink and fan and two case fans. What is a good temp for the processor to be running at? How hot can it get before it fries?

Not sure what it is in Fahrenheit, but in celcius you want your 1.4 around 50C or less (preferably less).

You could probably let it hit as high as 65C (though i would be quite worried by then)

And won't "fry" until at least 90C or more most likely.

I'd say if you're anwhere from 35-55 C you're doing allright

Get rid of that awful Volcano. I had one of those, and my temps were high like yours. I switched to a Vantec6035D, and while it is very loud, it is much cooler, much more stable.

anything bellow 60 is OK.

mine idles@49C and goes to 55 under full load (Celsius degrees)

I know we can check the temp in BIOS.

But How to check the temp when using Windows?

Any program I should use?
