Good tech-thriller books to read?

Picking up Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell by David Michaels...anyone here read it? I really enjoyed Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six, this seems to be up the same alley.

Any other authors you recommend in this genre?

I enjoyed William Shatner's tech series. I can't remember what the name of it is, but the name of the book is the name of some super drug in the book that the cops are fighting against. It was kinda cool.

can't recommend anything really, but stay away from Michael Connelly and Dan Brown if poor writing or factual innaccuracies bother you. The "new" (2003) William Gibson book was interesting, and a pleasant deviation from his typical style, but I wouldn't categorize it as thriller.

I like the ones that Dale Brown does. They are heavy on the air force emphasis, though.

I read DB's Angels & Demons, and while it was a bit too formulaic, it was still fairly entertaining.

I read a few chapters of Splinter Cell last night and one thing I can say about it is that the writing is terrible in terms of structure. Every sentence seems to be 4 words long and dumbed down. Considering the fact that its based on a video game, I shouldn't have expected much but the Halo series of books was a fantastic read, so I had my hopes high. Probably should have read the Amazon reviews before I bought this book

Thanks for the recommends guys, any others?

This isn't tech but it's futuristic: Jennifer Government. I thought that was a great book.
