Good Sub $600 screen for photo work

Hey,

I've been looking at getting a 24"+ 1920x1200 screen for photography work. I don't really want to spend more than $600 on it however. I know that I won't get perfect color with it, I just need something that's a bit better than the standard screens.

I've been looking at the NEC ASLCD24WMCX-BK (here) and the Viewsonic VX2640w (here)

Anyone have any experience with those screens? Or have a better idea?
