Back when it was available in July, I got the Citibank Dividend card. If I felt like going through the hassle of changing or if I could go back and change the card I went for, I would have gone with the MTVU card since it gives extra points for books (including all amazon.com purchases I hear), restaurants, and I think one or two other things.

A Visabuxx card is what my parents got me when I turned 13, I've had it for almost 5 years now. It works everywhere a credit card does, but you load money onto it. They can't overspend.

Edit: You're probably not a parent looking for a card for your child, though.. nevermind.

But does it actually build up your credit?

I misread "card for beginners" as "card for children"

And, no.
