Brief History of Time was pretty interesting, haven't read any others though. Easy to read too.

Another one to try is:

"Black Holes and Baby Universes and Other Essays"

If you like reading essays you should also try some things by Steven J. Gould. Not about space but interesting.

Brief History was easy, then halfway through it gets a little more complex. That or my pea brain just can't understand it. Probably the latter.

He has a new one coming out I can't remember what its called...I started brief history but never finished it, I have a bad tendency to do that with books, but I enjoyed it until some mystic force made me stop reading. I expect i"ll check it again.

Brief histrory of time is a must. I read it the first time in 8th grade (i actually understood most of the book). I reread it in english when I was in college, this time with near 100% understanding.

I believe the title of the one I read was "A Short History of the Universe."

It's somewhat like reading the "Gulag Archipelago" - very daunting task.
