good stable radeon drivers??

I'm into graphics.. 3DSmax, photoshop etc etc... I'm not a gamer or anything.. I have the original drivers that I got with my AIW and my card is okay with em I guess.. maybe it's becuase I've never experienced better I don't know.. I feel it's time for me to move on though.. I also get this weird flicker thing happening at 75hz refresh rate.. what's that all about? is that driver related or monitor related? Anyways.. I don't know if I want the latest drivers.. just really good ones.. thanks.. which version ??? I heard someone mention 3073?? saying that they were stable....
 
I've heard that the 3043 and 3073 are most stable, but 3100 seem to be pretty good too. I guess you should just try them all out and see which ones are best (if you have the time).
