Good Luck! 🙂

I second that.. The Asus P3V4X was a great motherboard that I loved, until I got into the AMD line of chips/mobos.. My wife's computer is running on my P3V4X -- very stable..

cheers,

I've got a P3V4X running right now. Absolutely no probs with it but I
too have been building AMD based systems lately.

If stability is your key factor, go with the Tyan S1854 Trinity 400. I have built many, many systems using this board. It is not much of an overclocking board, but at 'standard' bus speeds, it is the most stable PIII board I have ever used (more stable than any BX board). The Asus P3V4X is also a decent board along with the Abit VT6X4 (I'm still using one of these today).

Are you looking for any other features like ATA66+, Raid, Onboard, etc.? The other thing you might want to mention is availablity! I was looking for an Abit BE6-II v2 or Asus P3V4X motherboard around 4-5 months ago and couldn't find any under $100. I then stumbled across the Abit v1.2 motherboards for $65-75 and settled for this.

Soyo Tek SY-6BA+III ($45)
Soyo Tek SY-6BA+IV ($59)

BX Chipset is as solid as you can get. Others may have little problems. I ran in to USB problems on a VIA chipset.
