I am looking to dump my slot one board/chip combo, which is currently a bh6 and a p3 650.

I want an Intel chip running on the 133 bus to take advantage of my new 133mhz memory.

just wondering if a 733/133 was good enough for gaming (online) or should I shoot higher.

I reallly want to spend as little as possible but still have a good setup. I dont want to break the bank

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Hey RD good to see you again, and giving me some advice 🙂

yeah I am sure at 733 my 32 DDR radeon will be the bottleneck and might even be a 650.

I might consider OCing if I had a better board but I don't trust it with my bh6 since it is a POS and giving me other issues.

Yeah, you may want to just get a new mobo (if yours doesn't oc well) and raise you fsb. The 650 will do AT LEAST 800 with stock cooling!

uh, got my 650 running at 897 (almost 900) with crappy cooling. With good cooling, i'd prolly get 950 or so.

Before shelling out for a new CPU, try for 866 (133 fsb). If you trust it with a cpu defaulting at 133fsb, why not trust it with a cpu oc'd to 133fsb.

my mobo is having usb issues and is just a general pos. I was thinking of getting the abit sh6 since my chip was a slot one but I think I am better off dumping the whole setup. oh well thanks for the advice.
