Good Speakers without Subwoofer

I currently have a set of ATP3 speakers that I like. But the wires on them seem to be breaking, so I think I'm going to have to get new speakers soon. The ATP3's are a 2.1 system, and I'm wondering if I can get good speakers without the subwoofer. Subwoofers are rather large (at least on the ATP3), and I really don't use them. First, I'm very senstive to the vibrations caused by loud bass and get headaches if its too loud. Second, I usually play classical music or country, which really doesn't use bass very much at all (at least, not that I can hear). So my questions are:
1. If I don't get a subwoofer, am I missing out on much considering the music I usually listen to (I also watch movies sometimes)?
2. Are there any good speakers that don't include a subwoofer (or have a very small one)?

Thanks,
David

Yeah, that's a bit too high a price for me. I really don't want to spend over $100, and the less the better.
Thanks,
David

wires are breaking? just go to RadioShack and get some new wires, that'd be much cheaper. ( I have ATP3's right now and am listening to them)
