Good speakers with good treble for ~$200 - $300?

I'm looking into buying new speakers (upgrading from Midiland 8200 v1), and the set I've determined as the best for me is the Logitech z-680. But my main reason for upgrading is for better treble, which I've heard Logitech speakers suck at. Are there any 5.1 speakers other then pricy Klipsch that have good Treble and don't suck in general? Hell, my old FPS-1000 had better treble then my current ones.

Anyone here have the Creative Megaworks 550? I've thought about getting them and a Creative DDTS-100 reciever, but I've heard of a lot of people having problems with the amp blowing on those speakers. Reviews say good treble, and my ancient Creative FPS had good treble also.

Gigaworks are better than the megaworks for treble and bass, due to the super tweeter and the monstrous subwoofer.

Yeah, but Gigaworks are also consideribly pricier ($200 vs. $333 newegg). I want to try and get some this time for a decent price that I won't see a reason to upgrade in the future for the next few years or so (minus the 6.1, 7.1, and maybe 8.1? lol standards).
