I've inherited an old sony laptop (vaio f-150, p2 300) that works perfectly, but the battery doesn't function at all. I'd like to find a new battery so I can make use of the system a little better, and I've found an ebay store with a generic, made in hong kong one for ~US$90 shipped (the dead one was made in japan, but it was 6 years ago, so I have no idea if they are still made there, or if it matters).

I'm just wondering if anyone has a favorite store to recommend, online, or in southern ontario canada, where I might find one a little cheaper, or where they have had good experiences buying batteries.

On the off-chance someone knows of a deal, the battery part number is PCGA-BP71. I don't are about high capacity at all, the smaller, the cheaper, the better, all I want is something that will work with at least a couple of months of warranty.

thanks to anyone with some advice.

Make sure you check on resellerratings first! Sometimes the best prices are offered by resellers with a rating of 2/10 or something awful like that. I personally don't buy from anyone with a rating of less than 7 or 8. I mean if everythign goes through perfect, then the 2/10 would be great...but if you have any problems--need support, got shipped the wrong product, got shipped a broken product, etc--don't expect any help from a 2/10.
