Good Sound Card?

I think its a Sound Blaster Live...I would give away mine for free. I really didn't think they were particularly good cards, and they died alot easily. I had two Live cards die just because my speakers were on and the 3.5mm stereo minijack touched ran across the metal plate when I missed the stereo lineout jack a couple times. The speakers hummed real loud and never made a peep again =\ (the soundcard; the speakers were fine though)
