Good software to learn for freelance work?

I'm looking to pick up some projects to work on in my freetime, and was wondering what is high in demand these days..either in graphic programs or languages, or something else..

depends on what you're good at. If you're an artist, learn Flash and make websites. You can make huge money there. Love it or hate it, Flash is always in high demand. Programming is always a place you can make money, given you're good enough and have decent rates.

My dad does Access, pretty high level custom databases and makes some nice side money off it. You can make a living if you're good enough. I'd venture out and say if you don't know how to program and don't know Access, between the two learning Access would be much easier.

well if you are aprogramming type...

php, ruby on rails, ajax, and javascript are nice things to learn. they are not that hard to learn... its the very pretty html and little nuances that suck. but i'm sure its worth learning. thoes languages are also a piece of cake to learn the basics of, if you are bright you could probably learn them in 2-3 week.s
