Good software for performing a technology audit/inventory?

I will be performing a technology audit in the near future. Can anyone recommend any software to help ease this process? I would like as much information from the software as possible, but at least the hardware specifications and list of installed applications.

If you list something, please comment of the pros and cons of the application.

I've used belarc before. Although its a good application, it gets expensive when purchasing several licenses.

The AIDA32 looks really good from what I've seen. Thanks for the suggestion.
