only need it for office documents and such. i have lots of powerpoints and pdfs on which i'd like to take notes. anything you can recommend?
 
I just bought an HP TX2000Z Tablet from Costco.com yesterday. If you go to Amazon and search for HP TX2110US they have one for $990 plus a $50 rebate. It has slightly better specs than what I bought (better processor and more ram) and I paid about $950 + tax = $1025 .. I might return it but getting an extended warranty with Costco may offset that cost. The only thing is that I got an 8-cell battery and it sticks out about an inch or so in Tablet mode from the pics I've seen, but my bro has a broken TX1100 so I may just get his battery and use that if the 8 cell is too bothersome.
