Good, small home stereo speakers?

I have an M-Audio revolution 5.1 that sounds so good. I have a Yamaha surround sound receiver, but my speakers are just lacking. I'm a little bit of an audiophile and want some good speakers, maybe 4-6 inch diameter, that I can wall-mount for my computer, for good music. I would like to get a second set for the kitchen. I maybe want to spend as much as 100 bucks for a pair, I'd buy one pair then try another.

I am a Rush fan, I lissten to very full sound music that needs some good speakers. I already have a sub in my setup. I don't need insane hardware, just not cheapos.

Any recommendations?

thanks for the reply, I already have an amp, since I just saw it on newegg, it's one very similar, if not identical to this,

I just don't need a new set with a woofer/amp, I like having them seperate. I I need to run about 50' os speaker wire to my kitchen so I just want standalone speakers, if they would be better powered, and I can just plug 2 speakers in, that's fine.

are supposed to be very good for the price, or you can get the P series for under $100

Awesome, thanks. After reading the reviews I just pulled the trigger on a pair of those. I am a bit impatient and I have never owned a nice set of speakers before. They will probably do well in my computer setup, since I have the sub there. The one comment is the bass doesn't stand out. Since I like my hard rock with a good bass, I might have to find a different pairr for the kitchen where I can't put a sub. Buut of course I'll try these first. Any ideas on good, bassier speakers that are similar to those? They could maybe be a bit bigger, like 8x10.

Thanks again, now I'm psyched on those speakers coming in!

Does the Yamaha have a powered zone 2? Is that how you're planning on doing this?

Or maybe you're going to set the receiver on stereo surround and just hook up the kitchen speakers to the surround terminals on the receiver?

What's the source situation here?

For the kitchen, it might make more sense to just get a set of computer speaker or powered monitors?

i just set up my 5.1 system with the cheapest TSC bookshelves, the P5s. they sound great on their own, even without a sub. the sub definitely adds a kick though.

your TSBs should sound even better

I have had a set tsc fronts for a year and can say for the $$ they are good speakers. I got a great deal on LCR, $79 last year.

Got the TSCs in yesterday and wow. breaking them in now. They sound GOOD. They are heavy though, so I need to keep them as desk speakers. I'll put my older comp speakers for the wall-mount in the kitchen.
