Good site to learn the basics of network security

i use firewalls, but only use the learning ones, i would like to learn to setup rules, on the ones that are more robust like ISA 2004 or winroute.

I am looking for a good place to start that is for beginners that explains what UDP, and other protocols are, what ports are used and what they are used for and some best practices in regard to network security with servers and clients.

I have a hardware firewll as well but would like to learn about it as well

If you don't know what UDP is, I agree with Ameesh. Figure out basic networks before you go into security.
