Good singleplayer games that are not too taxing on battery life?

Hey I'm taking a trip soon and I'll need some entertainment while on the move. I'm looking for some good single player games that aren't taxing on the battery. Older, 2D games seem to do the trick.

So far, the Myst series is all I have in mind. Do you have any other ideas?

Fallout 1 and 2 should do the trick.
Alpha Centauri, too.

Loads and loads of SNES roms? The best part is that the entire SNES library is maybe a few gigs of space at the most.

Recently I've added Planescape: Torment to my laptop, so that I can play it the next time I travel. I've never played it before!

Everything Black Isle.

Fallout, Fallout II, Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate II, Planescape: Torment, and a few others - I especially liked BGII. Let it be noted that Icewind Dale II was not very good.

Other suggestions include:
-Diablo II
-Escape Velocity: Nova
-Uplink (if you like that sort of thing)
-Civilization II

I've been playing Galactic Civilizations II on my laptop, works pretty well even in battery saving mode regardless of its 3D nature (very few poly's on screen anyway).

World of Goo is a fun puzzle game, 2D-ish but very animated.

I still have Myth II: Soulblighter. I never finished playing it and I wonder if I can still play it on XP.
The Age of Empires 1 and 2 should do it too. I still have one or both of those in storage.
I have like...ADD when it comes to many single player games.
Favorites like Thief 1, 2, and 3 all never really completed. The first two you may be able to play. If you use XP you have to use a special command to install Thief 1 (maybe 2), which you can find on the TTLG fan forum.
