Good setup for VCR->DVD conversion?

My Grandparents want a new computer with the ability to be able to take there old VCR tapes (litterally 100's of home videos) and convert and edit them into DVD's. I've done this on my computer with my AIW card but It a fairly difficult process (for them anyway) and they really don't need a powerhouse gaming card and from what I've heard AIW's aren't the best for doing VCR->DVD anyhow. I Plan on building them a Lower End A64 setup with 1 gig of ram for the base computer but would really like to know which card(s) are Easy to use and have good software support for this type of thing.
