What are the options as far as high quality SCSI cards that are compatible with an IBM ULTRASTAR 36GB U160 SCSI HD 80-PIN 10000RPM 3.5LP

???

thanx

Ditto.

If you are getting the 80-pin SCA connector you are going to need a 68-pin to SCA converter and make sure it is LVD certified. 68-pin is what you normally want unless you are getting a deal on the 80-pin SCA flavor.

Roger that Bozo 1, the adapter must have pin 46 on the 80pin side connected to pin 16 on the 68pin side. I just wasted a couple of days wringing this out. A little chunk of wire wrap soldered in place fixed the problem. Most of the adapters on the market are for SCSI-2 rather than SCSI-3 and have this error.
