What are the options as far as high quality SCSI cards that are compatible with an IBM ULTRASTAR 36GB U160 SCSI HD 80-PIN 10000RPM 3.5LP

The Tekram DC-390U3W and Adaptec ASC-19160 or ASC-29160 are your more popular scsi cards, can't go wrong with either one of those, just a matter of preference really, I would also recommend getting the kit which would include all the proper cables you would need, you pay a little more for a kit but you'll save some cash in the long run if ya had to buy all cables seperate, good quality cables ain't cheap....but it depends on how many and what type devices ya have....if its only the hard drive you'll be runnin scsi then ya could get by just getting the card and buyin cable seperate. Just make sure ya do your homework before ya go out and buy. Keep in mind with that 80pin HD you'll need to get an adapter 80-68 pin, and LVD compatable, and if ya do buy cables seperate make sure they are compatable with that drive, again LVD compatable with termination buit-in.....good luck and happy scsi'ing
